LJB Earns Structural Design Awards

LJB continues its position as an industry leader in the tilt-up concrete industry by earning three more Tilt-Up Concrete Association Achievement Awards. At last week’s TCA Convention & Expo, LJB brought home awards #84-86, continuing a consistent streak of awards since the program began in 1992.

This year’s award winners include:

Renfrow Industrial Headquarters – Wellford, SC

This new, state-of-the-art headquarters facility was constructed of concrete tilt-up wall panels with unique architectural elements. The nearly 20,000-square-foot facility has both a single-story warehouse along with a two-story office space. The roof height varies between the manufacturing area, office space and lobby—for operational and aesthetic purposes.

700 Progress Way – Gaithersburg, MD

LJB provided structural engineering for this 198,000-square-foot, two-building development in Gaithersburg, Maryland, which is now occupied entirely by AstraZeneca—a global, science-led biopharmaceutical company. Located within Maryland’s I-270 BioTech Corridor, this facility provides the needed lab and QC space to support manufacturing.

Redstone Gateway Building 300 – Huntsville, AL

This new building serves as a central conference and nationwide collaboration hub for the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, enabling the agency to consolidate its workforce in one location and in a more secure environment. LJB provided structural design for the three-story building, which features 200,000 square feet of class A office space and a 15,000-square-foot warehouse.
