LJB Engineering is thrilled to welcome Pat Ivey to our Transportation Team. A former NCDOT Division 9 Engineer with an impressive 38-year career, Pat’s extensive experience and leadership in transportation planning, management, and public involvement make him an invaluable addition to our team.
After earning his degree from NC State, Pat began his journey with NCDOT as an Assistant District Engineer in Graham, NC, eventually returning to his hometown of Reidsville to serve as District Engineer. In 2000, he was tapped to serve as the Division 9 Engineer in Winston-Salem, a role he filled for over 24 years. During that time, Pat navigated numerous environmental and legal challenges to help deliver transformational projects that continue to shape North Carolina’s Triad region.
Under Pat’s leadership, he and his team embraced innovative community engagement processes that now serve as a model for public involvement. These efforts helped improve transportation by building trust and credibility with project stakeholders and marginalized communities, and emphasized the importance of partnerships and community collaboration that transformed the region’s approach to transportation planning and delivery.
“I am excited to be part of the LJB Engineering family and its strong commitment to building partnerships through regional collaboration and innovative solutions,” said Pat.
LJB is proud to have Pat on our team, and we look forward to leveraging his wealth of knowledge and experience to deliver exceptional results for our clients and communities.
