In a continued commitment to growing and supporting its team, LJB Engineering recently hired Karen Van Drie as its Vice President of Human Resources. Van Drie brings more than 15 years of senior-level HR leadership experience within the engineering industry, having served as Human Resources Director and Vice President of Human Resources at Fishbeck, a mid-sized engineering consulting firm headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Van Drie will lead LJB’s human resources team, which includes HR managers and talent acquisition specialists. Her extensive expertise spans employee relations, benefits, compensation, compliance, legal matters, policy implementation, and performance management. Known for her ability to manage conflict and cultivate a collaborative company culture, Van Drie is passionate about leveraging analytics to inform strategic decisions around talent acquisition, employee development, and organizational structure.
