For years, LJB has been committed to the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and its quest to advocate for a better economic and regulatory climate, while improving business practices for member companies.
After serving on the ACEC Ohio Board as an At-Large Director and Secretary-Treasurer, LJB CEO Rod Sommer has now been nominated to serve as Vice Chair. To date, Rod has provided leadership as chair of ACEC Ohio’s Chapter Integration initiative and as a PAC Trustee.
LJB’s corporate philosophy on involvement in professional organizations recognizes that you realize more benefit from an organization if you get involved in a leadership role. Rod has lived out this principal throughout his career, serving on numerous industry and community boards in the past 20 years. We are confident that his business acumen and leadership skills will benefit ACEC Ohio and its member companies through this appointment, which begins July 1, 2018.
“I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to continue serving ACEC Ohio,” said Sommer. “It’s very gratifying to advocate for an industry that has traditionally flown under the radar, but does so much to advance the economic health of our state and the nation.”
