The COVID-19 pandemic illustrated just how critical a healthy and safe workplace is to maintain overall wellbeing. LJB has focused on implementing best practices to promote the wellbeing of all who enter our office, and those efforts have been recognized and validated.
The LJB corporate office in Dayton, Ohio, has earned the WELL Health-Safety Rating from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). This certification means a respected third party has verified that LJB has taken the necessary steps to prioritize the health and safety of our team members and guests. The WELL Health-Safety Rating is an evidence-based rating that focuses on operational policies, maintenance protocols, stakeholder engagement and emergency plans to address safety and health.
LJB’s occupational and environmental health services leader, Dawn Colombi, provided guidance that allowed LJB to maintain primarily in-person work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Earning the WELL Health-Safety Rating is validation that the policies, procedures and protocols we have in place deliver a safe and healthy environment for staff and visitors.
“Seeking the WELL Health-Safety Rating was just a natural extension of the work we were already doing to prioritize health and safety for our team,” Colombi said. “With the rating, we now have additional confidence that our focus is in the right place and we’re prepared to withstand whatever the future brings.”
The LJB team has helped organizations identify and address their acute health and safety concerns, implement unique operational and maintenance programs, and create safe environments. Now, we are leveraging the lessons learned from our own certification journey to provide health and safety evaluations—including assisting other organizations to achieve the WELL Health-Safety Rating.
