Blue Cross Blue Shield

A new office building developed by The Molasky Group for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia (BCBSGa), the state's largest health solutions company, opens today in the Muscogee Technology Park in Columbus. The new 235,000 square foot facility will house approximately 1500 employees and will be BCBSGa's main hub for servicing its nearly 3 million members with healthcare plans, including medical, dental, life and specialty programs. LJB provided structural design of the shell and core for this three-story, class A office building, built-to-suit for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The 243,000-square-foot building is configured in two wings with an interconnecting lobby. The exterior walls of the structure are constructed of load-bearing, non-insulated concrete tilt-up panels with expansive areas of glass.
