For the second year in a row, the Ohio Department of Transportation has selected LJB Inc. to design safety improvements at high-crash and severe-crash locations across the state.
The crash locations were identified through the ODOT Highway Safety Improvement Program. LJB is one of six consultants the Department chose.
“We’re proud to continue to serve Ohio drivers as part of this select group of consultants focused on delivering the promise that Governor DeWine made to address safety at Ohio’s top 150 crash locations,” said Andy Shahan, operations manager of LJB’s Ohio transportation practice.
The firm will provide roadway safety improvements such as upgrading signs, signals, and pavement markings, reconfiguring and rebuilding intersections and roadways, and upgrading areas to increase pedestrian and bicycle safety.
LJB provided services under ODOT’s statewide safety contract in 2019. During that time LJB developed Ohio’s inaugural Pedestrian Safety Improvement Program (PSIP).
