National engineering firm LJB is proud to announce that two of its projects were selected to receive Honor Awards from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Ohio (ACEC Ohio).
The two award-winning projects are:
- State Route 235 over Cemex Haul Road Underpass Bridge, a privately funded, designer-led design-build bridge that increases public safety and corporate efficiency by removing mining operations from a heavily traveled state route.
- Fall Protection Design for a Melt Shop Charge Crane, where LJB employed an interactive conceptual design process to develop safety solutions that protect industrial workers from a potential 100-foot fall.
ACEC Ohio, a nonprofit trade association with a mission to advocate for the advancement and protection of the engineering business, holds its annual awards competition to “recognize engineering projects that exhibit a high degree of innovation, complexity, achievement and value.”
In this year’s competition, ACEC Ohio recognized 32 projects. The top scorers in this state-level competition have an opportunity to compete at the national level.
LJB team members will accept the awards at the 2020 ACEC Ohio Engineering Excellence Awards ceremony on March 12.
