Our team conducted a comprehensive planning study, permitting, and conceptual design for a new interchange connecting Trafton Road with Interstate 95 in Sidney and Waterville, Maine. This project involved evaluating multiple interchange configurations, ultimately selecting a partial cloverleaf design to optimize traffic flow and minimize environmental impacts.
Our work included assessing bridge and roadway impacts, conducting preliminary drainage analysis, and developing conceptual plans, cost estimates, and quantities. Additionally, we prepared documentation and applications to successfully secure EDA funding for the project.
While final design services were completed by others, our efforts laid the groundwork for a transformative infrastructure improvement that enhances regional connectivity while addressing environmental and community considerations.
