LJB has worked with numerous clients to design, maintain, and operate their traffic signal systems. This experience includes both centrally controlled and closed-loop systems with both NEMA and 170/2070 controllers. LJB also has experience designing complex ITS projects that include ITS Documentation, incident management cameras, changeable message signs and other ITS technologies.
Our staff has completed the design of more than 600 signalized intersections in the past 20 years and has significant experience in fiber-optic interconnect design, radio interconnect, video detection, and other advanced signal technologies. LJB specializes in fiber-optic interconnect design with more than 200 miles of fiber-optic cable in operation for traffic signal systems. Additional signal upgrades or ongoing maintenance services include optimizing offsets and splits, response to citizen concerns, response to intersection failures and traffic safety recommendations.
