The goal of any well-designed interchange is to keep traffic flowing smoothly. To accomplish this, interchanges come in a variety of geometric forms with varied design features. LJB has extensive experience with interchange modification studies and interchange improvement design projects.
We have performed more than 20 interchange modification studies and interchange analyses, and improved more than 15 service interchanges in the past 20 years – making LJB a regional leader.
During the past decade, highway congestion levels have steadily worsened as our need for travel has grown at rate faster than system capacity. For our projects, LJB explores many different types of solutions, simulations of the various schemes and competently discusses their merits with planning officials as well as the public.
