LJB has been designing tilt-up buildings since the early 1970s – long before the benefits of tilt-up were globally realized. LJB’s experience, expertise and continual innovation in tilt-up design have made us a leader in the growing tilt-up industry. With professionals that excel in architecture, structural engineering and project management coupled with our knowledge of the construction process, LJB adds value early in the project that can save time and money during construction.
LJB has proprietary construction drawings and standard details that comprise a proven method for design-build site cast tilt-up construction, known as CON/STEEL Tilt-Up Systems®. This proven method translates into efficient field production and higher quality construction for our clients.
With attributes of long-term value, flexibility, durability, speed and architectural freedom, tilt-up helps owners meet ever-increasing demands for new facilities. Tilt-up is a building construction method using concrete wall panels. The wall panels are formed horizontally directly on the building floor slab or adjacent casting beds. After the concrete panels cure, they are tilted into vertical position.
The tilt-up method has grown steadily since the 1940s because of the numerous benefits to the building owner and design-build team.
Avantec is a just in time distribution company for a limited line of construction products related to the tilt-up industry.
In tilt-up construction, the floor slab is cast early in the process, and wall panels are cast horizontally directly on the floor slab before being tilted into final vertical position.
